Affirmation Bible Verse:

“God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.”

Ephesians 1:5

A bible based affirmation

I am an adopted child of God and therefore His word says I am the following:

I am a person of honour,

I stand with dignity; a good, firm and noble leader.

I am not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine.

I obey the Lord and live as He commands. I speak the word of God in season and out of season.

I am charming, gifted and bold.

I am humble, compassionate, selfless, generous, kind and trustworthy

I have wisdom, discretion, discernment and understanding.

I am a provider, protector, keeper and lover.

I listen to the Lord and excel in all I do; I live my dreams and ambitions purposefully.

I am content and satisfied. The Lord is my portion. He is my earthly and eternal inheritance.

I flee youthful lusts and pursue purity.

I have power and authority.

I am accountable and responsible.

I take full responsibility for my actions and their outcomes.

I make the right choices and I am ready for a great and rewarding future.

I walk uprightly and speak the truth in my heart and abide in the tabernacle of the Lord.

I keep my promises to my neighbours and I do not take bribes.

I fear the Lord and He honours me.

I walk in faith and sincerely seek to please the Lord.

I use my faith to please God, not myself.

I exercise my faith in obedience to God’s will and render service, worship and devotion to God.

I put away childish things and walk in spiritual maturity.

I consume the meat of the word, in order to learn the deeper mysteries of God.

I am blessed by the Lord and He has protected me and prospered the work of my hands.

He keeps me and guides me through the wilderness.

He provides all my needs.

I do not give any place to sin. I put away fornication, uncleanness or covetousness and I do not let the sun go down on my wrath nor do I sin in my anger.

I do not grieve the Holy Spirit.

I speak that which is good and helpful, playing my part in the body of Christ by edifying others in love.

I am a person of hospitality.

I love my enemies and show kindness to all people, great and small.

I am in a covenant relationship with God. I choose to obey Him and cling to Him in all I do. This is my life.

I put away bitterness, malice, wrath, anger and evil speaking.

I put on the new me which God created to be in line with righteousness and true holiness.

I press on towards the higher and utmost calling of Christ.

I grow daily unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, who is perfect.

Respected everywhere I go.

I am a person of honour.

Sit in a comfortable position in your safe place. Breathe in through your nose for a count of 4, taking the breath into your stomach. Hold your breath for a count of 4. Release your breath through your mouth with a whooshing sound for a count of 4. Without a break, breathe in again for a count of 4, repeating the entire technique 4 times in a row. Focus on your breathing and move your mind away from anxious thoughts. Relax and enjoy the quiet with God.

Dear Father God, thank you that your Word is the truth we believe in. Thank you that although the world may tell us that we do not measure up and all the things we are not, You declare all the good things that we are. We are nothing in ourselves, only Your spirit in us helps us prevail. Thank you, Lord, that You have made us each a new creation and given us a new name. Thank you, Lord, that we have been adopted into your family. May we glorify you in all that we do. Amen.
