Skills Development Workshops for the special people who care for your baby or toddler.

It is wonderful to see all the Minders out with their prams hurriedly making their way to the parks in our Claremont, Lynfrae and Rondebosch area, to soak up the awesome summer sunshine and to get some fresh air for their babes.

With winter definitely on its way, I thought it would be great to provide Baby and Minder with an indoor venue which strictly adheres to Covid19 regulations.

Please let me know if you would be interested in sending your Minder and Baby to weekly 1h30 workshops covering the following topics:

  1. Responsibilities of a child/baby Minder
  2. Nutritional needs of a baby
  3. Sleep needs of a baby
  4. Good hygiene
  5. Making baby’s environment safe
  6. Identify basic symptoms of childhood sickness and the sick child’s needs
  7. Age appropriate baby stimulation for emotional and mental development
  8. Baby massage

There will be guided play and exploration with age appropriate toys which can be easily sterilised. Activities to improve co-ordination, encourage gross and fine motor development, explore textures, stimulate senses, further cognitive development and to provide opportunities to socialise. Your baby will also discover fun and joy of movement through music, rhymes and songs. All this in a socially distanced environment.

Psychologists call the first two years the attachment period of our babies. This is when our babies either learn trust or mistrust. Consistently having their needs met in a ONE on ONE, loving environment, lets the baby know that they are safe and loved. This is the cornerstone to health, emotional wellbeing and development. That is why having a Minder for your child who is armed with the necessary skills to advance your child’s development, is such an advantage.

BOOKING A PLACE IS ESSENTIAL BECAUSE OF COVID 19 SOCIAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS.
